How To Make A Planet

How to make a planet.

First roll a yellow ball. Make sure it is nice and round.

Secondly roll out a bit of orange and wrap it around the yellow ball that we made at first.

Next roll another one but this use black. Wrap it  around the orange ball and make sure it fits.

Then get some green plasticine and stick it on the black world. If you would like you could add some more country's or island's.

After you added some of the country's add blue around it.

And that is how to make an Earth!

Happy Earth Making!!

BISCAT, Year 3, Silver Award 1, Taking charge

Let's show that we want to make a difference in all parts of our life and make the decisions ourselves!

But how do I do this?

-Put yourself down for school council or the Going Green Team
-Suggest ideas to your school council or Going Green Team representatives
-Take on jobs in your class or group
-Show initiative
-Make positive choices in the way you behave and treat others

Can you think of any other ways?

Silver award 1

I can give examples of how taking charge helps me:

It helps me control my learning.

I packed/checked my bags for my sleepover:

I packed my bag for a trip to Cambodia.

I make sure that I am always ready for school - I check that I have packed my homework:

When I go to school I make sure that I have my water bottle, my blue folder and my
homework.

Give three examples of 'Taking Charge':

You are to add a photo in this section.

BISCAT, Year 3, Silver Award 1, Sustainability

We are all in charge of looking after our planet for generations to come. Let's start now!

But how do I do this?

-Just remember your three 'R's: reduce, reuse, recycle!
-Turn off computers, air conditioners, and lights when they are not being used
-Walk or cycle to school
-Grow plants and look after the school garden
-Pass on old clothes to charities

Can you think of other ways?

Maybe you could join the school Going Green Team!

Silver Award 1

I understand that humans have an impact on the environment:

I understand that if we don't use both sides of paper, we will have to
cut the trees down and we will have a bad life.

At school, I independently make choices to reduce, reuse and recycle...

I use both sides of paper and I don't throw it away in the  bin instead I throw it in the recycle bin.

I make good environmental choices at home:

I turn off the tap while I am brushing my teeth.

Give three examples of Sustainability:

Add a photo to the area below.

Chocolate trip

Today year 3 went to a cacao farm and a chocolate factory. My favourite bit is when the man gave us chocolate. My least favourite bit is when the man crunched the bean open and we had to eat it. It tasted HORRIBLE. At the end the man gave a whole bar of chocolate! Yum Yum!
